Public Consultation: Draft Africa EdTech 2030 Vision and Plan

English

The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is pleased to present the Draft Africa EdTech 2030 Vision and Plan for public consultation. This document has been developed as a strategic deliverable under Strategic Objective 5: Promote EdTech Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the African Union Digital Education Strategy and Implementation Plan (2023–2028).

The Vision and Plan sets forth a continental framework to advance the effective and equitable integration of education technologies across Africa. Grounded in key African Union frameworks—Agenda 2063, STISA-2034, CESA 2026–2035, and the Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa (2020–2030)—the draft outlines key policy and implementation priorities to:

  • Enhance access to locally relevant, high-quality digital learning content and affordable devices;
  • Strengthen digital public infrastructure and ensure interoperability across Member States;
  • Build the capacity of educators, school leaders, and policymakers in the effective use of EdTech;
  • Promote research, data systems, and evidence-based decision-making;
  • Foster innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship in the EdTech sector.

 AUDA-NEPAD invites stakeholders from Member States, regional institutions, academia, civil society, the private sector, and development partners to review the draft and provide written input. Submit your inputs via the consultation form by 29th August, 2025 via this link: https://forms.office.com/r/18MSPE2nbj
